Tales from the White Hart is a collection of short stories by science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke, in the "club tales" style. Thirteen of the fifteen stories originally appeared across a number of different publications. "Moving Spirit" and "The Defenestration of Ermintrude Inch" were first published in this book and hence presumably were written specifically for it. "The Defenestration of Ermintrude Inch" rounds off the cycle of stories and explicitly mentions their book publication.

Set in the universe of Thieves’ World this bar is situated in the fantasy city of Sanctuary, a place where various gods have been ousted after a power struggle. The tales from the Vulgar Unicorn anthologies allow for a variety of fantasy stories not dissimilar to that of Bordertown. Because Robert Aspirin was at the helm here, a lot of these stories are on the lighter side. Not as welcoming as some of the bars in other fantasy worlds, but essential!

Faction insignia were used to differentiate heroes and villains in several 1980s Hasbro toylines, including G.I. Joe and Visionaries, but the Transformers toys were the first to make heavy use of the idea on the toys themselves. The original Autobot and Decepticon insignias, supposedly designed by Wayne Molinare, were seemingly based on toys from the first year of the original Transformers toyline; the Autobot symbol is a heavily stylized and simplified version of the face of Prowl, while the Decepticon insignia is drawn from that of Soundwave.

The P-5000 Powered Work Loader, commonly referred to as the Power Loader, is a commercial mechanized exoskeleton used for lifting heavy materials and objects. As well as widespread industrial use, the P-5000 is heavily employed by the United States Colonial Marine Corps to load ordnance on board their starships. Power Loaders are equipped with hydraulic "claws" that can be used to hold and manipulate a variety of objects. The Colonial Marines (as well as other groups, including the Iron Bears) also utilized the Exosuit, the military version of the P-5000. Perhaps the most famous use of a Power Loader was when Ellen Ripley used one in a ferocious hand-to-hand battle with a Xenomorph Queen aboard the USS Sulaco.
