Description: Tobias Speed Equipment was founded by legendary race car driver, Dick "Toby" Tobias in 1962. The speed parts manufacturing business was based in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Tobias' nearly three hundred wins in modifieds, sprint cars, and stock cars undoubtedly playing into Tobias Speed Equipment becoming an undisputed leader in the development of tubular chassis for modified race cars. Sadly, Tobias was killed at Flemington Speedway in 1978, leaving the business to be run by his family until it's closure in 2003.

Many Houses depend on CHOAM profits, and an enormous proportion of those depend on melange. CHOAM directorships were the real evidence of political power in the Imperium, passing with the shifts of voting strength within the Landsraad as it balanced itself against the Emperor and his supporters.
