Floatplane Bags
Description: Kurtzer Flying Service was founded by legendary Seattle pilot, Alana Kurtzer, at Boeing Field in 1928. Kurtzer would later relocate the business to the south end of Lake Union in 1931. Serving routes throughout the Pacific Northwest, from the Mt. Rainier and the San Juan Islands, to destinations in British Columbia, including Vancouver and Nanaimo, Kurtzer Flying Service got cargo and passengers to their destinations for years. Kurtzer eventually renamed the business Kurtzen Marine and Flying Service School, and began teaching pilots the ins and outs of operating seaplanes. Alana Kurtzer's school continued to operate for decades, training thousands of pilots that would follow in his footsteps, and only closed in 1988 after his death.
