Maximize Monday: Optimize Your Twitter for the Holidays
Tweet tweet friends! We may not be hearing too many actual tweets from the birds that have already flown south for the winter, but we sure are hearing your tweets! Check out our below tips for maximizing your twitter during the holidays:
Use TeePublic tracking links
TeePublic’s internal tracking system is a real treat to use with shorter, cleaner looking links and more in depth analytics. Make sure the link in your bio is your TeePublic store link with your referral ID and any links you tweet out to promote are the tracking links (ie; the link in the yellow box at the top of your store).
Boost your tweets!
You’ve heard about doing it on Facebook, but Twitter? It’s true, you can now boost tweets so they reach an even wider audience than your tweets normally would. If you’re not sure how, your affiliate manager would be happy to guide you through the process!
Take advantage of Twitter analytics
Pay attention to your analytics and see if there are any noticeable changes in your traffic patterns or if there are clear times when your tweets get more engagement. Use this information to determine your posting schedule and make each tweet worth it’s weight in...I wanna say Bitcoin?
Tweet images and gifs
Twitter and Instagram are certainly different beasts, but why not use what works on Instagram and bring it to Twitter? Tweeting out images and gifs along with your succinct and witty tweet helps the tweet stand out. So much of what you see on Twitter is text so people more likely to acknowledge your tweet with an image than to scroll right by.
Hashtags are your friends
It’s difficult to overstate the importance of hashtags. They’re huge for discoverability, building community, and upping your traffic so hashtag til you burst (but, you know, not really). We highly recommend using #teestheseason (our official holiday hashtag) and tagging and hashtagging us (@teepublic, #teepublic) if you’re so inclined!
