Gap Cards
Description: This image of the Saluda River at Jones Gap is inspired by vintage travel posters, silkscreen design, campy paint by numbers and our national and state parks. Jones Gap is one of my favorite parks. It is part of the larger Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area that also includes the headwaters for the Middle Saluda River, Cesar’s Head State Park, many well marked hiking trails of varying difficulty and numerous waterfalls. I have been going here my entire life, before it was a state park and it was just the old road over the mountain where the old fish hatchery was. Decent bathrooms and picnic areas. See my other vintage travel, nature and retro designs or contact me to design one based on your favorite place.
Description: he Gap Band was an American R&B and funk band that rose to fame during the 1970s and 1980s. The band consisted of three brothers: Charlie, Ronnie, and Robert Wilson, along with other members. The band was originally named The Greenwood, Archer, and Pine Band after streets (Greenwood, Archer, and Pine) in the historic Greenwood neighborhood in the brothers' hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The band formed in Tulsa in 1967, based around the three Wilson brothers, but often included other musicians as well. The name "Greenwood, Archer, and Pine Band" originally started as a joke, reflecting the band's origins, and was shortened to GAP Band later.
Description: The art style perfectly executes a minimalist cyber-tech, high-contrast studio pop-art, and programmer streetwear aesthetic. By translating a crucial network safety protocol into a bold, cleanly divided typographic layout, it masterfully avoids lazy, generic tech clip-art tropes like basic cartoon padlocks, simple green binary code walls, or standard circuit board pathways. It stands out as a true insider nod for hardware security specialists and data gatekeepers, making it a spectacular closer.

Splitting felt-tip friction. Uneven ink pooling. Thick solid yellow warning line. Grid of heavy, rounded tactile paving bumps. Scuffing and fiber-drag entropy. The physical threshold of the transit grid. The mechanical rhythm of the daily loop. The urban scavenger waiting at the edge. Built for the peripheral survivor who navigates the high-density transit grid and recognizes the physical friction of the daily commute.
