Oh Canada – Great Outdoors Beautiful Landscape Sunset Maple Leaf Card
by thedesigngarden
$5.00 $6.00
Description: Might Oak design inspired by the Pennsylvania Dutch folk art tradition of Hex Signs / Barn Stars. This design features the oak leaves and acorns through the seasons. The Mighty Oak symbolizes all that the oak shares with us throughout the seasons: shade from its leaves, food from its acorns, sturdy wood for building, and beautiful scenery!
Description: A close replica of a t-shirt worn by Terry Fox during his 'Marathon of Hope' attempt. Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. In 1980, with one leg having been amputated due to cancer, he embarked on an east-to-west cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Although the spread of his cancer eventually forced him to end his quest after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 mi), and ultimately cost him his life, his efforts resulted in a lasting, worldwide legacy.
