Description: Before Dracula, there was the Upyr. Long before the modern vampire became a cape-wearing count, Eastern European folklore told of the Upyr — a restless undead being associated with the grave, the night, and the fear that some dead things do not stay buried. This vintage folk-horror design reimagines the Upyr as an old-world nightmare: gaunt, watchful, and rooted in the darker traditions of Ukrainian and Slavic folklore. Rendered with distressed print textures and a weathered poster aesthetic, this design is for fans of Ukrainian folklore, Slavic mythology, vampire legends, folk horror, gothic art, and the strange creatures that existed long before modern horror gave them familiar names. Before the legend became elegant, it was something

Description: She belongs to the forest. In Ukrainian folklore, the Mavka is a mysterious female forest spirit—beautiful and otherworldly, but not necessarily safe for those who encounter her among the trees. This vintage folklore design imagines the Mavka as something inseparable from the wilderness itself. Birch bark merges with her skin, branches and roots become her hair, and leaves grow through her form as though the forest has taken human shape. Inspired by Ukrainian folklore and the enduring cultural image of the Mavka, including her celebrated place in Lesya Ukrainka’s The Forest Song, the artwork combines a dark botanical aesthetic with Ukrainian-inspired folk ornament. She doesn’t live in the forest. She belongs to it.

Description: If he asks you to dance, dance. Deep in the forests of the Ukrainian Carpathians wanders the Chuhaister, a shaggy forest spirit from Ukrainian and Hutsul folklore. Unlike many creatures said to inhabit the wilderness, the Chuhaister is traditionally portrayed as friendly toward people—and sometimes known to invite those he encounters to dance. This vintage folklore design imagines the legendary wild man dancing around a glowing mountain campfire beneath the full moon, surrounded by Carpathian peaks, evergreen forest, and Ukrainian folk ornament. A design for Ukrainians, folklore lovers, cryptid hunters, hikers, campers, and strange old stories still hiding among the forests. And if he asks you to dance…dance.
