Description: ortal Kombat is a 2021 American martial arts fantasy film directed by Simon McQuoid (in his feature directorial debut), from a screenplay by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham and a story by Russo and Oren Uziel.[4] It is based on the video game franchise of the same name created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, serving as a reboot to the Mortal Kombat film series. The film stars Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Chin Han, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada.
Description: 1980s style Mortal Kombat characters! They say that there are Beatles people and Rolling Stones People. In the early 90s, there were Street Fighter kids and Mortal Kombat kids. I was firmly in the Mortal Kombat camp. Mortal Kombat was this fantastic blend of Eastern and Western pop culture that really appealed to me. I thought it would be fun to draw the original Mortal Kombat characters; blending the old designs with the new character designs. I also wanted to incorporate Memphis design elements as a throwback to the 80s and early 90s.
