Pink freesias represent motherly love (it’s Mama Echo, what more do you want from me?). And I made them Double Flowered Freesias, ‘cause they have an extra row of blooms… like an echo (I’m so lame).

Poppies represent remembrance and are often used in funerals for fallen soldiers (for Mayday). The blood splatter just looked cool, I dunno.
