Binary Hats
Description: Examples of singular they used throughout the 20th century and long before. From books, plays, newspapers, TV shows, and more. Printed in yellow, white, and purple. I recommend a black top so they’re all readable, and to complete the non-binary colours. This is based on a t-shirt I made for my partner, who uses they/them pronouns. They were fed up of people wrongly saying that singular they was either made up in the last few years, or was archaic and had fallen out of use until recently.

It’s historically been used as an explicit content warning and was made to grab the attention of even the most oblivious people. If they won’t pay attention to that, maybe they’re just not worth it.
