Description: The official logo of the House of Reformation, Boston's own reform school for boys on Rainsford Island in the city's harbor. Built in the 1890s, the school sought to educate the inmates with a variety of work which included farming, garment manufacturing and a print shop. Ultimately, the school shut down during the Great Depression of the 1930s.
