Mandrill Hats
Description: Marvin Gru'ul was once numbered amongst the Host of Mandrill Philosophers who tend the Teeming Tomes in Great Library on Luna - but long ago he gave that up to focus on his solo music career in The Painted Wastelands. He's happier now, although sometimes he misses the proximity and access to such a wealth of inter-dimensional knowledge.
Description: The mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx) is a large Old World monkey native to west central Africa. It is one of the most colorful mammals in the world, with red and blue skin on its face and posterior. The species is sexually dimorphic, as males have a larger body, longer canine teeth and brighter coloring. It is the largest monkey in the world. Description: Colourful animal ink illustration portrait of a baby mandril, a vulnerable species of monkey. Hand drawn using Pigma Micron marker pens and coloured with Promarkers, I used one of my own photographs as a reference for this drawing. Mandrills are primates with a very unique appearance and live in the tropical rainforests of west central Africa. These monkeys have vibrant blue cheeks (less bright in juveniles as seen here) with a pink nose and long yellow beard. The fur on their bodies is grey.
