Expressionism Hats
Description: My first painting inspired by a supernatural detective from a popular graphic novel series. It is acrylic paint on A2 Canvas depicting the character lighting a cigarette in a signature fashion, reminiscent of the lighting styles of classic film noir, or more appropriately neo-noir. My favourite thing about this painting is the colour and how the light created by the flame creates such a vibrant glow. The influences behind this piece are punk and post-punk and an inspiration of film noir.
Description: While sponsorship’s by cigarette brands is nothing new, Kool was one of the first brands to pursue concert sponsorship with the Kool Jazz Festival in 1975, and sustain music promotions over the years. As a brand that is historically quite popular with African‐American smokers, their sponsorship’s tended to lean towards jazz and other events with a substantial attendance of their core demographic.
Description: This stunning painting captures the playful and colorful nature of a puffer fish in a bold and expressive style reminiscent of the neo-expressionist movement. The artist drew inspiration from contemporary art styles, incorporating bright colors, bold brushstrokes, and distorted shapes to create a unique and vibrant piece.
Description: A bold, electrifying tribute to neo-expressionism—this abstract face bursts with raw emotion, jagged energy, and graffiti-style flair. Inspired by Basquiat’s rebellious spirit, it’s a visual riot of colour and chaos, perfect for fans of street art, pop culture, and expressive design. Ideal for stickers, tees, and anyone who wears their art loud.
