It was believed to have transformative properties, both in the physical and spiritual realms.The final part of the Vitriol acronym, "Occultum Lapidem," means "hidden stone." It refers to the Philosophers' Stone, the mythical substance that was believed to have transformative powers and was the ultimate goal of alchemical transmutation.
