Description: Examples of singular they used throughout the 20th century and long before. From books, plays, newspapers, TV shows, and more. Printed in purple, white, and green, I recommend a black top so they’re all readable. This is based on a t-shirt I made for my partner, who uses they/them pronouns. They were fed up of people wrongly saying that singular they was either made up in the last few years, or was archaic and had fallen out of use until recently.
