Description: The arcing rays of the sun symbolize life. In the center a canoe, essential for the Polynesians for fishing, transport and communication between the islands. The double canoe carries five tikis, for the five archipelagos of Polynesia. The waves symbolize sources of wealth that can be drawn from a nourishing sea.
