Aquarius Home Computer System 1983 Hat
Main Tag:

Description: The Aquarius Home Computer was designed by Radofin Electronics and released in June 1983. Based on the Zilog Z80 processor, the PC was self-contained in an oversized keyboard with 4 KB of RAM, and a subset of BASIC in ROM. It connected to a TV set for AV output, and used a cassette tape recorder for secondary data storage. A limited number of peripherals, such as a 40-column printer, a 4-color plotter, and a 300-baud modem, were released. Although less expensive than the TI-99/4A and VIC-20 computers it competed against, the Aquarius was less attractive due to its weak graphics and limited memory. The Aquarius was discontinued just a few months after it was launched giving it one of the shortest lifespans of any personal computer.
