Westward Ho Beach Devon, England Westward Ho! is a seaside village near Bideford in Devon, England. The A39 road provides access from the towns of Barnstaple, Bideford, and Bude. It lies at the south end of Northam Burrows and faces westward into Bideford Bay, opposite Saunton Sands and Braunton Burrows. Aside from the peculiarities about how it got its name, Westward Ho! is famous for being a delightful village by the sea. The seafront is one of North Devon’s most popular surfing and swimming spots. The weather was starting to close in giving the sea beautiful blue and green tones which contrasted against the white lighthouse and dark grey clouds that had just starting to roll in with people canoeing just beyond the lighthouse. Hartland point is a picturesque place to visit and it changes every time you visit it.

Kingswear is a village and civil parish in the South Hams area of the English county of Devon. The village is located on the east bank of the tidal River Dart, close to the river's mouth and opposite the small town of Dartmouth.

Dawlish is known for its red Devonian sandstone cliffs and the dramatic train journey that for ten minutes weaves through them as it travels from Dawlish to Teignmouth (Devon, UK). For me its a favourite spot that encapsulates that feeling of holiday, even though I've only ever been there for a day. The place has a holiday vibe, with everything relaxed and stress free. Nothing captures that more than sitting on the red sands, ice cream to hand, watching the trains trundle along through the cliffs. Painted in oil on a 20x8 inch board, I hope this gives you that feel too.

The Devon Rex is a short, curly-coated cat. Their coat is commonly considered hypoallergenic but actually is no different than other cats' coats. Devon Rexes are very intelligent and trainable, although they're also smart enough to ignore your commands if they choose to. Overall, they're a sleek, bright-eyed, long eared, curious companion who loves people and play.

Dartmouth Harbour, Devon, UK Dartmouth Harbour (also Dart Harbour) is a natural port located in Dartmouth, Devon, England. It is situated at the mouth of the River Dart on the English Channel. Bayard's Cove Fort is a small fort, which was built to defend the harbour's entrance. The crafts which dock at the port are mainly local fishing vessels, naval ships and luxury yachts; warships routinely visit the harbour. By Paul Thompson Photography
