B-17 Flying Fortress Vintage Bomber Design. The B-17, which first flew in 1935, is our favourite aircraft at 909 Apparel. In fact we're named after the B-17 that inspired this design, the record breaking Nine-O-Nine.

A Consolidated PBY Catalina Flying Boat first flew in 1935 and was one of the most widely used seaplanes of World War II. During World War II, Catalinas were used for anti-submarine warfare, convoy escorts and air-sea rescue. This Photograph is of Catalina BPY-5A “Miss Pick Up” with lights on with a backdrop of dark storm clouds contrasting the white fuselage of the Catalina.

A Digital artwork of a USAAF B-17 Flying Fortress flying low over the English Channel, “Almost Home”. The aircraft has severe flack damage to the port wing, the tip has been blown off and the port engines are burning oil. The tail has also been damaged with the rudder and tail gun turret blown off . Escorting her home are two B17s that have dropped back in support. This is my digital depiction using photographs of the only European flying B-17 Sally-B. It’s based on photographs of B-17s that made it home with flack damage that were beyond belief!

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Concord's first commercial flights on January 21st 1976, I have created a set of illustrations depicting Concord from the first flight in 1969 through to the final flight in 2003. This image set against a classic white background is of 5 variants of my drawings for this series showing a pre-production Concorde of 1969 through to the last livery of 2003.

Seen as a white streak, this airplane jets across the black sky in darkness of night as a trail of fluffy white clouds expand and mark the path of this aircraft at high altitude.
