82 Mugs
Description: A cartoon mascot with an orange round head, green eyes, and a wide smile. It wears a blue shirt and red shorts with yellow and red striped socks. The mascot holds a soccer ball. Above, a banner reads "WORLD CUP 1982" and "COPA MUNDIAL DE FÚTBOL". To the right, the year "'82" is displayed. A soccer ball is shown trailing yellow and white streaks as it moves.
Description: Somewhere beneath the ice, something learned how to become us. Specimen 82-A reimagines The Thing as a classified Antarctic field-identification report, filled with host analysis, cellular diagrams, blood samples, containment protocols, and one very important question: which specimen is still human? Built for fans of John Carpenter's 1982 sci-fi horror classic, this artwork hides references to paranoia, biological mimicry, Outpost 31, the infected dog, blood testing, and the terrifying idea that the person standing beside you may no longer be human. A vintage scientific-document aesthetic meets Antarctic survival horror, with distressed print texture and old-school research typography.
