Description: 2019 marks 50 years since Apollo 11 landed on the moon on 21 July 1969. Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two people on the Moon. Commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin, landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on July 20. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the moon 6 hours later on July 21. They spent 21 hours on the lunar surface before returning to Columbia for the return to Earth.

The Apollo 11 mission was set to go and Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin did indeed land on the moon that incredible day in July. The first order of business after planting the American flag, was to fire up the kettle and cook a few hot dogs to bring back to Mike Collins on the Lunar Orbiter.
