Cavern Mugs
Description: "The Coudersport Ice Mine, located near Coudersport, Pennsylvania, is a natural geological phenomenon where ice forms inside a small cave during the warm months and melts during the cold winter. Discovered in 1894, this unique site features a network of rock fissures that create a rare microclimate. During spring and summer, cold air flows from the cave's depths, freezing water vapor and forming icicles and ice sheets. Conversely, in winter, the air reverses, drawing in warmer air that melts the ice. This seasonal inversion continues to attract visitors intrigued by its rare and mysterious natural mechanics. The Coudersport Ice Mine is open to the public beginning Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day."
