Description: In a desperate attempt to keep Cobra functioning and solvent, Cobra Commander packages Zartan and the Dreadnoks as a heavy metal band called "Cold Slither," proving that there really isn't much mercenaries won't do for money. Baroness explains that her plan is to slip subliminal messages into their album so that Cobra will be able to lull the minds of every listener into supporting them. Of course, like all of Cobra's plans, things don't go as planned, and the Joe's turn the tables on them in the end, making Cold Slither nothing more than a footnote in rock history.
Description: The National Guard of Louisiana authorizes the award of the Cold War Victory Medal. The National Guard of Alaska authorizes the award of the Cold War Victory Ribbon. The medal is not authorized for wear on any U.S. Armed Forces active duty uniform. If a member of the National Guard has been awarded the medal it must be temporarily removed from uniform if called to active service, under Title 10 of the United States Code, with other regular components of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Description: The Cold War was a period of geopolitical tension between the Soviet Union and the United States and their respective allies, the Eastern Bloc and the Western Bloc, after World War II. Historians do not fully agree on the dates, but the period is generally considered to span the 1947 Truman Doctrine to the 1991 dissolution of the Soviet Union. The term "cold" is used because there was no large-scale fighting directly between the two superpowers, but they each supported major regional conflicts known as proxy wars.

For Nixon, it was the best year of his political life. His diplomatic opening to China reached fruition with a widely televised trip to Beijing. Détente bore fruit with the signing of the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty and a summit in Moscow. And Nixon's decision to bomb North Vietnam and mine Haiphong Harbor to stop a Communist offensive proved highly popular.
