Description: The Declaration of Independence was signed nearly 250 years ago, and Americans have been resisting tyranny every since. For this design, I hand lettered "We the People 1776-2026" in my own gothic script style. I painted my deign in Photoshop, adding the stars and "torn parchment" background, which represents the wear and tear our republic has endured. This version of my design is painted entirely in blue tones.

Description: Connecticut aThe name "Connecticut" comes from the Mohegan Indian word "Quinnehtukqut". It means "Long River Place" or "Beside the Long Tidal River." The first explorer from Europe to come to Connecticut was Adriaen Block, from the Netherlands. After he explored this region in 1614, Dutch fur traders sailed up the Connecticut River (Named Versche Rivier by the Dutch) and built a fort near present-day Hartford, which they called "House of Hope" (Dutch: Huys de Hoop). The first English settlers came in 1633. They were Puritans from Massachusetts, who were led by the Reverend Thomas Hooker. They founded the Connecticut Colony. Description: The Great Seal is a principal national symbol of the United States. Description: Tell ICE and law enforcement that you know your rights. "No consent to search" means you are verbally refusing a police request to search your person, car, or home, invoking your Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable searches. Police can still search if they have a warrant, probable cause (like seeing contraband), or other legal exceptions, even if you say no. So, you should calmly state your refusal and avoid resisting, as saying "no" preserves your rights for later legal challenges.
