Description: I've done a few variations on the whole Never Forget the Dinosaurs Theme. Thought I'd add a twist to this one featuring a Stegosaurus like dino with destroyed buildings and debris replacing the plates on his back. Was hoping to create an emotional piece reminding us humans about the very real possibility of our own mass extinction. I've got this majestic beast pondering in Rodin's Thinker pose in front of a dramatic sunset about a time when once the terrible lizard roamed the earth. I'm pretty sure that the Great Dinosaurs thought that their rule was never going to end.
Description: November 1st, 1955, is often cited as the official start of the Vietnam War, however, many say that the date is much later based on when American troops became directly involved in the conflict. On the other hand, America’s participation in the conflict between North and South Vietnam began earlier than 1955, and lasted until 1975, making it one of the longest wars in modern world history. Those who served in Vietnam from all branches received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, all three of which are represented here in this Vietnam Veteran Award Ribbons design.
