Inn Mugs
Description: Village Inn Pizza Parlor was a chain of pizza restaurants that is believed to have been founded in 1963, however there are a few competing origin stories out there. Some say that the chain was first established in North Carolina in 1967, while another account suggests that the chain's origins began in Arizona in 1966. What we do know is that by 1969, the chain had over 70 locations across America, all with an iconic steeper-roofed architectural design. The restaurants appear to have been inspired by the design of Foxy's Restaurants, as both featured an A-frame style with a mix of rock and siding materials. While the chain is now long gone, several Village Inn Pizza Parlor locations are still in business today.
Description: Jackie Brown is a 1997 American crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Pam Grier in the title role, along with Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, and Robert De Niro in supporting roles. An adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 1992 novel Rum Punch, the film pays homage to 1970s blaxploitation films, particularly the films Coffy (1973) and Foxy Brown (1974), both of which also starred Grier in the title roles. As Tarantino's third directorial effort following Reservoir Dogs (1992) and Pulp Fiction (1994), it is the only feature-length film that Tarantino has adapted from a previous work.

Description: The long gone Alpine Village Inn was located at 3003 Paradise Road, across the street from the Las Vegas Hilton. This famous place began serving German food in a downtown location in 1950, then moved four times before settling into its final location on Paradise, in 1970. This was a favorite place for locals and visitors alike to get a hot bowl of chicken soup, cold beer in a goblet, and seasoned cottage cheese to go with a small loaf of bread. The main 250-seat dining room was looked like of a Bavarian village, with wrought-iron grill-work, sloping roofs, the male staff workers all wore lederhosen and the waitresses wore long skirts like they just stepped off a St. Pauli Girl bottle.

But, he is offered to share a bed with one patron who has not yet returned that evening, a harpooneer who is off “selling his head”. Ishmael agrees, reluctantly, and settles in for the evening. He eats dinner with a taciturn and silent collection of fellow sailors, and then meets a raucous grew returning from a long whaling voyage. Ishmael decides he really can’t deal with sleeping two to a bed, and tells the landlord he will sleep on a bench in the parlor instead. But, the bench proves too uncomfortable, so he is forced to go up to the harpooneer’s room.
