IJN Yamato (大和/ヤマト) was the lead ship of her class of battleships built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) shortly before World War II. Named after the ancient Japanese Yamato Province, Yamato was designed to counter the numerically superior battleship fleet of the United States, Japan’s main rival in the Pacific. She and her sister ship, Musashi, were the heaviest and most powerfully armed battleships ever constructed in history, displacing 72,800 tonnes at full load and armed with nine 18.1 inch Type 94 main guns, which were the largest guns ever mounted on a warship.

Hanzo “半蔵”, Hattori Hanzo “服部半蔵”, also known as Hattori Masanari or Hattori Masashige, Hanzo was a famous samurai of the Sengoku era, credited with saving the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu and then helping him to become the ruler of united Japan. Due to the amount of Iga ninja under his lead, Hanzo has been regarded as one of the most representative figures of the ninja by later generation and pop culture. Yukimura “幸村”, Sanada Yukimura “真田幸村”, actual name Sanada Nobushige, Nobushige was one of the greatest samurai of the Sengoku Period, known as the “Crimson Demon of War” for his blood red banners and red armour, he was also recognized as “Japan Finest Warrior” and even the “Last Sengoku Hero” by his peers. Akagi (赤城/あかぎ, Red Castle in Japanese) was an aircraft carrier built for the IJN, named after Mount Akagi in present-day Gunma Prefecture. Though she was laid down as an Amagi-class battlecruiser, Akagi was converted to an aircraft carrier while still under construction to comply with the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty. Akagi participated in the Battle of Midway in June 1942. After bombarding American forces on the atoll, Akagi and the other carriers were attacked by aircraft from Midway and the carriers Enterprise, Hornet, and Yorktown. Dive bombers from Enterprise severely damaged Akagi. When it became obvious she could not be saved, she was scuttled by Japanese destroyers to prevent her from falling into enemy hands.

Fujin '風神' is Japanese god of the wind, and Raijin '雷神' is Japanese god of lightning, thunder and storms in the Shinto religion and mythology, both are among the eldest Shinto gods. Fujin is often portrayed as a terrifying demon-looking spirit , resembling a red headed green-skinned humanoid wearing a leopard skin, carrying a large bag of winds on his shoulders; and Raijin is typically depicted as a demon-looking spirit beating drums to create thunder, usually with the symbol tomoe drawn on the drums. In Japanese art, Fujin and Raijin are often depicted together. The kanji behind Fujin and Raijin is '風' meaning wind, and '雷' meaning thunder; at the back is a three-fold tomoe symbol that often used as kamon or symbol by Shinto Shrine.
