Midi Mugs
Description: A bold vintage-inspired ADSR synthesizer envelope design featuring the four essential stages of sound shaping: Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release, illustrated with studio knobs and mixer faders. Perfect for music producers, synthesizer players, beat makers, electronic musicians, sound designers, recording engineers, and anyone who understands the art of shaping sound.
Description: This monochrome artwork pays homage to Black Midi’s experimental sound, featuring a gritty, high-contrast design that mirrors the avant-garde chaos and raw energy of their music. The image portrays a distorted figure with a guitar, framed in stark black and white, echoing the underground aesthetic of punk, noise, and post-rock. With gothic lettering for “black midi” and “Schlagenheim,” the design embodies both abrasive intensity and artistic abstraction, making it a fitting tribute for fans of the band’s groundbreaking style.
Description: Cavalcade is the second studio album by English rock band Black Midi. It was supposed to be released on 28 May 2021 but came out two days earlier on 26 May 2021 through Rough Trade Records. It was primarily recorded in the summer of 2020 with producer John "Spud" Murphy, with the exception of one track which was recorded beforehand with Marta Salogni. For Cavalcade, the band had a more premeditated approach to the writing and recording, as opposed to the improvisational approach taken for their debut studio album, Schlagenheim (2019). The opening track "John L" was released as a single in promotion of the album, followed by a louder mix of the fourth track "Slow", and finally "Chondromalacia Patella" before its release to critical acclaim.
