Description: B.W. Belyea founded Belyea Truck Company on December 8, 1921 in Los Angeles, California with his brothers. While Belyea started out as a general cartage carrier working with the railroad to move rail freight to offline destinations, he soon found that he had a knack for handling cargo that other carriers turned down. By the late '30s, Belyea had a reputation for moving things that others say can't be moved. From 148-foot girders and a steam locomotive to a 115-ton kiln and the mirror for what was the world’s largest telescope, when customers inquired about moving something, Belyea's reply was always just “where you want it?”
Description: The Penn Central Transportation Company, commonly abbreviated to Penn Central, was an American class I railroad that operated from 1968 to 1976. Penn Central was a combination of three railroads: the Pennsylvania Railroad, New York Central System and the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad.
