Orange Clockwork Mugs
Description: Kubrick has certainly been an influence on my visual sense, but this is the first time I've explored adapting one of his cinematic icons, based on the original book, A Clockwork Orange. The question I posed to myself is "What animal represents Alex best?" The cat was an obvious choice, both approachable yet an animal that can equally give no f**ks. It can be both worshiped and reviled, and so it fit. This particular image became a pun based on the line "Bit of the ultra violence."

The A Clockwork Orange T-Shirt celebrates Stanley Kubrick's dystopian 1971 classic film starring Malcolm McDowell. Based on the novel of the same name by Anthony Burgess, A Clockwork Orange caused controversy for its depiction of gang life and sexual violence, so much so that the film was withdrawn from British release at the request of Kubrick himself.
