F-4 formed major part of US air power throughout the 70s & 80s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircrafts. F-4 remained in use by the US in the recon & Wild Weasel roles in Gulf War, leaving service in 1996. F-4 was also used in 11 nations.

Jolly Rogers - VF-84, Fighter Squadron 84 was an aviation unit of the United States Navy. Originally established as VA-86 on 1 July 1955, it was immediately redesignated as VF-84, it was disestablished on 1 October 1995. It was the third US Navy squadron to be designated as VF-84. The squadron was nicknamed the Jolly Rogers and was based at NAS Oceana. It took the number but not the lineage of VF-84 the "Wolf Gang" and the insignia of VF-61 the Jolly Rogers.

Skunk Works is an official pseudonym for Lockheed Martin's Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Concord's first commercial flights on January 21st 1976, I have created a set of illustrations depicting Concord from the first flight in 1969 through to the final flight in 2003. The Seattle Pilots were an American professional baseball team based in Seattle, Washington. The Pilots played their home games at Sick's Stadium and were a member of the West Division of Major League Baseball's American League. On April 1, 1970, after just one season, they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin before being renamed as the Brewers. The "Pilots" name originated from the owner's part-time job as a harbor pilot and the city's association with the aviation industry.
