Description: A design inspired by harmonographs and Lissajous curves that create geometric images using pendulums and harmonic motion. The harmonograph was created using an algorithm and specially created data in R using ggplot2. The harmonogram was colored with a palette of Yellow, Orange, Purple and Green. Description: I wanted to make strawberry patterns, first with a simple photograph with the strawberries arranged in some semblance of a polka dot pattern and secondly, digitally using the strawberries to make a true repeat pattern. Just experimenting and playing with ideas. This is the repeat pattern version.
Description: The thistle is Scotland's national flower, and while no one is completely sure how it came to be so significant to the nation, there are some theories. Legend holds that a sleeping band of Scots was saved when invading Norsemen stepped on the spiky plant and let out cries that awoke the Scots. There's no evidence for that, but it's a lovely story.
Description: This artwork features the delicate beauty of the wax flower—an Australian native and one of my personal favourites. With its soft white petals, pink centers, and lush green foliage, the piece unexpectedly bloomed into something almost jungle-like. I hadn’t imagined that when I first painted the original, but I love how the vibrant layers and golden outlines brought it to life in such a wild, elegant way.
