Japanese Samurai Mugs
Description: Seven Samurai (Japanese: 七人の侍, Hepburn: Shichinin no Samurai), released in the United States initially as The Magnificent Seven, is a 1954 Japanese epic samurai drama film co-written, edited, and directed by Akira Kurosawa. The story takes place in 1586 during the Sengoku period of Japanese history. It follows the story of a village of desperate farmers who hire seven rōnin (masterless samurai) to combat bandits who will return after the harvest to steal their crops.
Description: An evocative sumi-e–style portrait of a stoic capybara clad in tattered samurai robes, katana at its side, rendered in distressed ink wash textures on aged paper. This “侍カピバラ” design fuses Japanese warrior aesthetics, bushidō spirit, and whimsical animal charm—perfect for martial-arts aficionados, folklore art collectors, manga and anime fans, and anyone who appreciates bold, anthropomorphic wildlife illustration.
