Description: Bobby Chacon fought back from a slow start Thursday night to knock out Art Frias in the seventh round of a lightweight bout between two former champions. Chacon, of Oroville, went down in the first round from a right-hand punch and was bloodied in the fifth from a cut over one eye. But Frias, of Los Angeles, was stopped at 2:03 in the seventh round. Chacon snapped his opponent’s head back with a right, then went to the body, and the bout was stopped with Frias helpless against the ropes. Chacon (57-7-1) is a two-time world champion in the featherweight and super-featherweight divisions. Frias (28-5) is a former world lightweight champion.

Description: "Frankie Crawford pulled off the upset of the evening by lasting the full 10 rounds with the 20 year old Bobby Chacon from Sylmar, Calif., who had knocked out 16 of his previous 17 opponents, but this time had to settle for a lopsided 10 round decision. If Crawford had any notions of standing and hitting with Chacon, they were quickly abandoned when Bobby's left to the belly and right to the jaw dropped Frankie late in the 1st round. Frankie got right up and onto his bicycle, peddling for the next five rounds until he suspected that Chacon might be getting tired from swinging and chasing him. In the 7th, he came at Chacon and started throwing a few punches although at that point he needed a knockout to win which didn't happen.
