Description: Schoolhouse Rock! is an American interstitial programming series of animated musical educational short films (and later, videos) that aired during the Saturday morning children's programming block on U.S. television. The themes covered included grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics, and civics. The series' original run lasted from 1973 to 1984 and it was later revived from 1993 to 1996. Additional episodes were produced in 2009 for direct-to-video release. Schoolhouse Rock! debuted as a series in January 1973 with Multiplication Rock, a collection of animated shorts adapting the multiplication tables to songs. During the early '70s, Schoolhouse Rock was one of several short-form animated educational shorts that aired.
Description: In 1916, the bandit El Guapo and his gang are collecting protection money from the Mexican village of Santo Poco. Carmen, daughter of the village leader, searches for someone who can come to the rescue of her townspeople. While visiting a village church, she sees a silent film featuring "The Three Amigos" and, believing them to be real heroes, sends a telegram asking them to come and stop El Guapo.

Description: "SHU" (蜀) or Shu Han (蜀漢) was one of the three major states that competed for supremacy over China in the Three Kingdoms period, based in the area around present-day Sichuan and Chongqing which was historically known as "Shu", founded by Liu Bei, who claimed himself as the descendants of the Han Dynasty, and thus named his state "Han" as he considered it the legitimate successor to the Han dynasty. The Three Kingdoms (220 - 280 AD) was the tripartite division of China between the states of Wei, Shu, and Wu.

Description: "Dong Wu" (東吳) Eastern Wu was one of the three major states that competed for supremacy over China in the Three Kingdoms period, based in the Jiangnan (Yangtze River Delta) region, which was also historically known as "Wu". It previously existed from 220 - 222 as a vassal kingdom nominally under Wei, its rival state, but declared independence from Wei and became a sovereign state in 222. It became an empire in 229 after its founding ruler, Sun Quan, declared himself emperor. Below the kanji is drawings of Sun Ce (孫策, center), Sun Jian (孫堅, right) and Zhou Yu (周瑜, left).
