Translucent Mugs
Description: I visited the Biltmore Estate just outside Asheville, North Carolina a few years ago, where on display, throughout the gardens and some in the house, was an extensive collection of Chihuly Glass. This image focuses on lovely, reed-like glass sculptures that sat in a pond near the house. The translucent light passing through the mauve sculptures gave them a radiance that was quite lovely.

Description: When I was little I'd spend hours looking at marbles and marvelling at their beautiful intricacies and stunning designs. Their shape, their weight, their endless colours and differences, their shininess and the pleasure of ownership that is the essence of the game of marbles... as an adult I find them no less appealing.
