Description: A painting of a sea turtle swimming through the night sky carrying the Earth on it's back. This was originally done as a painting for a friend and I loved it so much while making it that I needed to have copies for myself. Looking at Earth Turtle fills me with feelings of calm and hope for the future my wish is that it does the same for you!
Description: This happy be-hatted buddy is one in a colorful collection of floating turtle friends, each being suspended by a unique balloon cluster in colors representative of various identities. This specific buddy's balloons are in the colors of the Disability Pride Flag. Below is a brief history of the flag's origin: The original Disability Pride flag was created in 2019 by writer Ann Magill, who has cerebral palsy. Magill had attended an event for the 20th anniversary of the ADA and was disappointed that it was confined to the basement and grounds of an independent living center — instead of out in public. The experience motivated her to create a Disability Pride Flag.
Description: Tribal Turtle graphic inspired by Maui sunsets and beaches. I spend part of my year on Maui, photographing the floral, fauna and landscapes of this fabulous island. The turtles are as much a part of Maui as the palm trees and hibiscus. They are an endangered species around the world and need our protection. I created this design because of my love and concern for these gentle animals. If people love them as art then it is my hope that they will help preserve them in the world. Wearing this art will hopefully bring more awareness to the environmental crisis we are all facing.
