Xtc Mugs
Description: A strange little machine from an imaginary English factory, built to turn wires, gears and mechanical noise into flowers. The Mechanical Garden channels XTC’s eccentric British pop spirit through vintage psychedelic color, industrial illustration and surreal botanical machinery — an alternate-universe relic for fans who prefer their rock music wonderfully peculiar.
Description: Martin Newell (born 4 March 1953) is an English singer-songwriter, poet, columnist, and author who leads the Cleaners from Venus, a guitar pop band with jangly, upbeat arrangements. He is also regarded as a significant figure in the history of cassette culture and DIY music. His most popular work is The Greatest Living Englishman (1993), produced by Andy Partridge of XTC.
Description: "By the late '70s, XTC's evolution was undeniable. With two albums of jagged punk-infused pop under their belt, their third album, *Drums and Wires*, marked a daring shift. Featuring the offbeat hit single *Making Plans for Nigel*, which soared into the UK Top 20 and built a loyal underground following in the U.S., the album stands as XTC's first true masterpiece—ushering in a new era for the band's musical journey."
