Description: Officer Byrd was a colorful and unconventional member of the LAPD’s community outreach efforts—a trained parrot used to engage the public in a fun, memorable way. Often appearing at schools, safety fairs, and neighborhood events, Byrd helped break down barriers between the department and the community, especially with kids, while delivering positive messages to keep kids away from drugs and violence. With a knack for mimicking phrases and drawing attention by driving his patrol car, Officer Byrd reinforced simple safety messages while creating a relaxed, approachable atmosphere. While lighthearted on the surface, Officer Byrd played a meaningful role in building trust, making outreach more engaging, and giving the department visibility.
Description: The legendary logo from 80's Tv's "Hunter!" Can you hear the theme song playing right now? Hunter and McCall chased the creeps and crooks in their own unorthodox style, much to the chagrin of their commanders. Crummy cars and a great partnership made for great tv! Enjoy this great shirt from the brilliant minds of Stephen J Cannell Productions!
