Glinda and Elphaba from the musical, Wicked. Specifically tried to get across the feeling of the song, For Good. "Like a comet pulled from orbit, as it passes the sun, like a stream that meets a boulder, halfway through the wood. Like a ship blown from its mooring, by a wind off the sea, like a seed dropped by a sky bird, in a distant wood. Who can say if I've been changed for the better, but, because I knew you, I have been changed.... for good."

Aliz woke to find herself in a room with no exit but a single tall stained glass window that depicted a White Rabbit pointing his wary claw to a haphazardly numbered clock. A steady ticking emanated from the colored panes, though the many arrows radiating from the clock face above showed no sign of movement between the random numbers to which they pointed. Even more unsettling, she observed that no matter where she stood, the Rabbit's single glaring pink eye followed. Disturbed and annoyed at not finding a way out of her new puzzling predicament, Aliz plopped herself down onto the leather cushioned ottoman someone had placed beneath the window sill. It emitted a weary groan as she took a seat, but her attention quickly diverted to a fluttering scrap of parchment nailed to the sill, its sudden animation brought to life by her frustrated movement. Throughout time, every culture has made its own heroes, villains and icons, about whom we create artwork and stories as a way of understanding the universe and our place within it. In modern geek culture, I think that many pop culture characters and institutions serve this function, and juxtaposing those images with a historic artistic medium like stained glass is a way for me to show how important a role they play in individual identity in modern society. Each of these stained glass style prints is designed using high-resolution imagery of original stained art-glass. Once the core design is created, I select and place each piece in the same manner that I do when creating original stained glass artwork, then use custom digital brushes to create a gentle patina for a classic look.
