Japan's TDK significantly advanced this technology and released their SD (Super Dynamic) cassettes designed specifically for music in 1968. Their innovative efforts marked a watershed moment for music, both as an art form and as an industry. Once available to only the most dedicated and passionate music fans, high fidelity recordings became accessible to all with the advent of TDK’s cassette tapes. This 'Music Lives on TDK' design is a recreation of a 1987 promo tee that was given away with a multipack of blank cassette.
