Crows Pins and Buttons
Description: The Crowsnest Highway is an east-west highway in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. It stretches 1,161 km (721 mi) across the southern portions of both provinces, from Hope, British Columbia to Medicine Hat, Alberta, providing the shortest highway connection between the Lower Mainland and southeast Alberta through the Canadian Rockies.
Description: The crows around your neighborhood sure have gotten aggressively lately. They seem to attack anyone who comes near... knock some sense back into them and grab the cookies they drop for a snack. Another fantasy themed work of art from Artist Kevin Hinkle. Description: Based on East Asian myth and my favourite Don Bluth film, the Red Thread of Fate connects two individuals meant to be soulmates, even before they are fated to meet. It's unclear to me why I've seen crows associated with red string, I've tried to find their significance, but I do love the imagery. Jeremy from The Secret of NIMH and the crow on the cover of the album "Transatlanticism" are singular and tangled up in red string, which indicates loss or a failure to meet someone to build a nest with. At least the end of The Secret of NIMH is more hopeful, which inspired this piece.
