Folklore Pins and Buttons
Description: Okami is an action-adventure video game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom. Set in classical Japan, Okami combines Japanese mythology and folklore to tell the story of how the land was saved from darkness by the Shinto sun goddess, named Amaterasu, who took the form of a white wolf.
Description: "There will be no expectation, just reputation" Inspired by the lyrics from Dancing With Our Hands Tied, and the empowering energy of the Reputation album, this is dedicated to the darker sides of our lives. My hope is that this piece serves as a reminder that there is power and beauty in the rumors, the negativity, and the people who choose to bring us down.
Description: Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience and subculture that aims to prove the existence of entities from the folklore record, such as Bigfoot, the chupacabra, or the Mokele-mbembe. Cryptozoologists refer to these entities as cryptids, a term coined by the subculture. Because it does not follow the scientific method, cryptozoology is considered a pseudoscience by the academic world: it is neither a branch of zoology nor folkloristics. It was originally founded in the 1950s by zoologists Bernard Heuvelmans and Ivan T. Sanderson.
Description: The Kappa is a Japanese legend or Yokai, this lake creature is often seen as mischievous or sometimes malevolent. This design was inspired by the story of the Kappa and is the first of a line of tees based on yokai. *this is the original design with lighter lines for dark colors*
