Gone Fishing Pins and Buttons
Description: This is my acrylic painting of a variety of vintage fishing lures in a display case. I painted this from my inspiration, when as boy going fishing with my Grandad. He had a big tackle box full of all kinds of interesting lures. I would look in amazement at all the lure shapes and sizes, with propellers, beads, hooks and shiny objects! Bright hues and intricate details emphasize the variety of designs used in fishing gear.
Description: Gone Fishing is a digital collage I made that tells the story of self sufficiency. It featuring a big vibrant fishy, a paper boat, a coconut tree, an eerie lake and stars shining bright like diamonds in the sky. This design was inspired by the popular saying “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
