Lake Mulwala, a man–made reservoir created through the construction of the Yarrawonga Weir across the Murray River, is located between Bundalong and Yarrawonga in the Hume region of Victoria and Mulwala in the Riverina region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The weir was constructed in 1939 to provide water for irrigation of the surrounding district. The weir also serves as a crossing of the Murray between the two towns; in addition to the crossing located via the Mulwala Bridge.

One of the great things i have learned from my fellow photographers is how to look at things from all angles. This is an office building along 355 in Rockville, Maryland, a few blocks from where I work. I posted another shot I took that morning as well (link below) but the take-home lesson is look and think about what you see. This one was color and repetition in a reflection, but I think it makes a good urban abstract. Other pedestrians just hurried past - my walk to work takes longer, now. Leica D-Lux 6

The picture was taken in Hagnau, Germany with a view in eastern direction - and as promised another image of my collection "Sun, Moon & Stars". During day it is a quite busy place full of coffee shops, restaurants, but also offices. The roof construction is more or less open – at night nicely blue illuminated. One of the first places that I decided to visit during my 2-days stay in Beijing was Beihai Park. Beihai Park was first built in the 11th century as an imperial garden. Now it is a public park. It is located to the northwest of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Today, it is one of the largest of all Chinese gardens and contains numerous historically important structures, palaces, and temples. Since 1925, Beihai Park has been open to the public as a park. The park has an area of more than 69 hectares (171 acres), with a lake that covers more than half of the entire park.
