By 1933 the original owner had moved his family out, got a liquor license, and reimagined the space as The Brick Tavern. 30-years later John J. Toner bought the tavern for $28,000 and it was reborn as Toner's Beef & Ale, becoming a popular community watering hole for decades to come before ultimately being demolished and replaced with a bank in 2015.
