Description: Black and white ink illustration of a walking phasmid. I made this drawing using a stippling technique with a fine pen on Bristol board. A slender stick insect is depicted against a plain background, creating a simple and uncluttered composition. The stick insect's delicate body and long, thin legs contribute to its camouflage - like appearance as a twig or branch. Stick insects are part of a classification of insects known as Phasmatodea and are herbivores, feeding on leaves. These insects are made found across many parts of the world and have many names and vary greatly in appearance but are famous for their stick like appearance with long thin legs and a long body as seen in this example.
