Description: A luminous Hafnium design. Hafnium is a chemical element with symbol Hf and atomic number 72. A lustrous, silvery gray, tetravalent transition metal, hafnium chemically resembles zirconium and is found in zirconium minerals. Its existence was predicted by Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869, though it was not identified until 1923, making it the penultimate stable element to be discovered (rhenium was identified two years later). Description: Original done in acrylics. This piece represents the five elements: Fire, Air, Earth, Water & Metal. My interpretation of this painting is that each powerful women controls an element of earth, from a far they watch over our home and make sure things are balanced. Displaying this at the art show I partook in, I heard so many interesting explanations to what others thought it was about, which showed me how art can be viewed in such unique ways.
