Description: The Intrepid Fox was a pub at 97–99 Wardour Street, Soho, London, established in 1784 by the publican Samuel House, who named it after the prominent British Whig statesman Charles James Fox. It was a popular spot with rockers in the ’60s and ’70s, but new ownership in the late ’80s really gave it a great goth pub vibe. The updated club’s eclectic, dark interior attracted punks, goths, and metal heads alike, and played host to countless bands over the years before closing in 2006.

Associated with the Shinto deity Inari, they can be benevolent guardians or mischievous tricksters. Their power and age are indicated by the number of tails they possess, with nine-tailed foxes being the most powerful.
