Description: the goddess in Hinduism, one of the ten dasamahavidya. Kali is a violent form of Shakti and appears in mythology as the destroyer of demons. The wrath of Kali is so terrible that it threatens the existence of the world, so a special theme in mythology is the pacification of Kali.
Description: This is a design based on the mixing of 2 cultures separated by time and distance from one another. The Hindu goddess Kali has been interrupted as a Native American woman. I have not chosen a single tribe to represent Kali, but I have simply styled the dress and accessories from many tribes from across North & Central America.
Description: Kali is the fearful and ferocious form of the mother goddess. She is represented with perhaps the fiercest features amongst all the world's deities. She has four arms, with a sword in one hand and the head of a demon in another. She is seen as the mother that protects the child from all evil. So, as a worshiper of Kali, you worship that motherly love. The love that drives her to take the form of destroyer to protect you, her child. She may look dangerous but you know that is only to the evil. For you she is still your loving mother and you, her child that called for her help.
